During the normal operation of the expressway, the guardrail can be easily penetrated into the preset bolt holes through the bolt column to play the role of isolation and protection.
We can see that the highway guardrail is used to connect the columns. Generally speaking, some roads and rural roads use anti-blocking blocks, and some use brackets. So, why do highway guardrails use anti-blocking blocks to connect the columns? What are the advantages of wave guardrail columns plus anti-blocking blocks?
1) The anti-collision block itself is an energy-absorbing mechanism, which can gradually deform the guardrail after a collision, which is conducive to energy absorption and reduces passenger casualties;
2) The anti-collision block of the road guardrail is fixed between the column and the wave beam, so that the wave beam is suspended on the column. Once the out-of-control vehicle collides with the guardrail, because the wave beam is close to the column, the front wheel will not trip over the column;
3) After the anti-collision block participates in the overall function of the wave guardrail, the collision force can be dispersed to the structure with a larger span, so that the force on the road guardrail is more uniform, and the collision track of the guardrail board is smoother, which is beneficial to the guidance of the vehicle and the overall guardrail strength.
4) When road guardrails with anti-stop blocks are installed on roads with curbs, the distance between the corrugated beam and the surface of the curbs can be reduced, and the adverse effects on the guardrails caused by out-of-control vehicles jumping up after encountering curbs can be reduced or even eliminated.
The road guardrail block can be made of various shapes of steel. Type A and Type B are recommended in the specification. Type A is suitable for cylinders and has a hexagonal structure. Type B is designed according to French standards and is suitable for channel columns or other steel columns.
